Anytime we're stuck with an abundance of Jeff & Lester, it's not a good show. And their subplot was a time waster, not funny (not even sure if it was trying to be funny). But maybe that was the whole show?
Chuck wants to propose to Sarah.
He starts to when they're eating out but Sarah shares how her father did that with his mother, the place caught on fire, he saw it (looking back) as the beginning of the end and more. So Chuck cancelled that before she knew what was going on.
Then Morgan was helping him when they all went to France. But that didn't work out either.
Now Casey, Chuck and Sarah are in on it and helping Morgan to help Chuck. Just as he's about to propose and Sarah's put the ring in his pocket (he'd dropped it and Morgan and Casey were telling her to pick it up), she's arrested.
By the CIA. They say she's a double agent or something.
Casey shares that he proposed once (to the mother of his child) and he tells Chuck everything wasn't perfect and all together but what he took away and what he always remembers is the look on her face. So Chuck goes in search of Sarah and the General's done talking to her. The General tells Chuck he can have a few minutes.
And? Sarah and the General planned this. She's going undercover. She's going into Timothy Dalton's gang. Where Chuck's mother is already trapped. And now Sarah?
Did no one think, "HUH!!!"
And what about the proposal?
She knew what was coming, the arrest. So did she think Chuck would get to it before the arrest or did she just not want a proposal?
I don't know.
