There's a lot to have a headache about these days. For example, Barack's Libyan War? Turns out he's not being honest with the American people. Jake Tapper, Jon Karl and Russell Goldman (ABC News) report:
President Obama has a signed a secret presidential finding authorizing covert operations to aid the effort in Libya where rebels are in full retreat despite air support from U.S. and allied forces, a source tells ABC News. The presidential finding discusses a number of ways to help the opposition to Moammar Gadhafi, authorizing some assistance now and setting up a legal framework for more robust activities in the future.
The finding does not direct covert operatives to provide arms to the rebels immediately, although it does prepare for such a contingency and other contingencies should the president decide to go down that road in the future.
And Karen DeYoung and Greg Miller (Washington Post) report:
The Obama administration has sent teams of CIA operatives into Libya in a rush to gather intelligence on the identities and capabilities of rebel forces opposed to Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, according to U.S. officials. The information has become more crucial as the administration and its coalition partners move closer to providing direct military aid or guidance to the disorganized and beleaguered rebel army.
Call me crazy but it seems to me if you're taking sides in a civil war, you gather your intelligence before you pick a side. You don't pick a side and then, 12 days later, say, "Hmm, I don't think I know this person I'm in bed with. Let me hire a private investigator."
Barack does everything half-assed and backwards. 2012's election can't come soon enough for me. Here's C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
