The case was filed by the Log Cabin Republicans, the largest political organization for gays in the GOP, in 2004.
[Updated, 6:30 p.m.: "As an American, a veteran and an Army reserve officer, I am proud the court ruled that the arcane ‘don't ask, don't tell’ statute violates the Constitution,” said R.Clarke Cooper, executive director of the Log Cabin Republicans & Liberty Education Fund. “Today, the ruling is not just a win for Log Cabin Republican service members, but all American service members."]
The writer of the LAT piece is a little Barack groupie. He babbles on about how Barack wants this and Barack wants that and then he lets a little reality in by noting how the Justice Department tried to get the case thrown out. He forgets that they were acting on behalf of Barack Obama. Doesn't he forget all the facts? What a little wuss.
So good news for America tonight. It's one judge. It will be tested. It will be appealed. But one judge stood up for what was right.
Which reminds me of cowardly Obama who cant stand up for anyone. He's such a b.s. artist. I'm so sick of him.
And what's the deal with his economic team? He's supposedly focusing on the econmy but Orszag's left and Romer's left and he's not replaced them. But we're supposed to believe that he's on top of it? Orszag left in July. It's September. He was the White House Budget Director. We're supposed to believe Barack's serious about the economy when the positions are vacant?
